Last time, employers sat out the entire dispute. But this time around, we have already forced UCEA to seek a new mandate from vice chancellors. I couldn’t be clearer: employers are in the room because of you and the action you are delivering.

We had a great turnout at the picket on each day of the strike and the feeling of purpose is palpable accross the University. We have had several new membership enquiries and numerous conversations about the issues between members and non-members.
Back to work now giving our students the same great experience we always do, despite our working conditions. This isn’t over yet – stay strong!
The improvements that we fight for will benefit everyone who works in the sector so there is no better time to remind your collegues that we are fighting for them and with them.
